Along with Muay Thai / Thai Boxing and Jiu-Jitsu, which comprise the curriculum for our younger students, Kali, Jeet Kune Do, Silat, and other arts are added for our Teen curriculum. This allows our teens to become comfortable with weaponry and explore a variety of arts that they may choose to continue into adulthood.
Martial arts help teens to reduce stress, build confidence, set goals, make friends, and get in great shape. In addition, it will help teens to develop the ability to stand up to negative peer pressure and other intimidating situations that they will undoubtedly encounter as they grow older.
We instill a realistic sense of risk analysis and situational assessment into our teen classes to prepare students for situations they may encounter as they enter the adult world.
Because we consider our teens to be young adults, we hold them to a higher, faster, and more vigorous rate of instruction and conditioning. Holding our teens to a higher level also prepares them for their transition to the adult classes.
